To the posters who have been accepted into Western University's PhD in Political Science: What did you study in your Master's and what was your cGPA? Did they already make all their decisions?

Didn't get an email or a notification to check status. I just happen to check my portal to see if I was rejected. Not upset because I was accepted to ASU.

I am so excited!! Canadian applicant at a Canadian university. Fully funded for four years plus OGS. Good luck everyone! :)

Has anyone heard anything from York? When will they release their results?

I am a Canadian citizen studying at a Canadian university. I received the offer by phone and was told I would receive an official email later this week.

Got accepted through the interview. CP subfield.

My file was forwarded to the Masters commitee

GPA is grad. Got a call from the admissions chair today with acceptance information. Fully funded for 4-5 years.

Admission for the UW/Laurier Balsillie School. Got email from a member of the admissions committee--also told me which supervisor I'll be working with!

I was very surprised! Thought I fitted into faculty research interest like glove. 4% of 600 applicants accepted. Very competitive. My consolation is I got into another top program. Big congratulations to those accepted.

Very surprised that I wasn't considered for the MAPSS program since I was accepted last year with partial scholarship. UChicago doesn't do deferments and I only reapplied to the PhD program because MA was too expensive for 9 online courses during covid with low possibility for jobs. Worked extra hard this time to have a polished application and more publications and still rejected lol.

Submitted Early December 2020. First Choice

I will probably decline, since I have other interesting offers. Will wait till first week of April though!

Mentioned in the interview, that three will be 5 yrs of funding and 4 yrs of summer fellowship. Bingo.

Expected given niche interest + crazy competition this year :-/ 0a/1r/3p
