Received the same ambiguous email as others here after emailing them about the status of my application

Domestic student, offer of $24,500 for at least 5 years with TA position. Applied for both observational and theoretical astrophysics but placed more emphasis on theoretical in my interview and application.

hep-ex/hep-th. Checked the portal after seeing posts here. Interesting because I thought Rutgers was a relatively "safe" school.

Ignore Waitlist. Has anyone heard back from Northwestern?

I am waitlisted for hep-th and hep-ex. It is a sincere request if you are not going to attend Rutgers, it would mean a lot if you can decline. I am next on the waitlist and I have no other offers. Rutgers is my only hope.

Actual waitlist nucl-th. I emailed the department, and they said they've sent out most acceptances and rejections. Everyone else is on a waitlist and will hear final decisions mid-March.
