I am an international candidate, My undergraduate GPA is 3.2, my masters is A- from the UK, I have 3 years experience as researcher and 8 publications of which two I am the first author. So it seems they are don't care a lot of the experience as for the GPA.

International candidate with a BSc Hons degree in Biotechnology and an MPhil degree in Biological Sciences. CGPA is 3.65 in both the degrees. Two published papers in international peer-reviewed journals, one under review and two in preparation. Strong research background spanning over almost 4 years which includes two theses, two side-projects, one funded international summer school and a position as a research associate. Strong extracurricular participation in the shape of leading various student bodies, and numerous articles published in newspapers and magazines on different topics.

Felt I was a really good fit but apparently admissions disagrees

4 years of research experience (3yrs undergraduate, 1 yr full-time), great LOR, 2 publications (co-authored submitted; first-authored in preparation), a few conference awards, TOEFL 115

They didn't really ask for the GRE. 2 years of undergrad research, one undergrad research internship, doing my senior thesis in the US right now. One book chapter accepted, one poster.
