To whoever asked- i'm not sure why they interviewed so many candidates but it sounded like they weren't sure how many people they would be able to take.

Mass email addressed "Dear Applicant", said they had over 700 applicants

To poster below. I was considering applying to the New School PhD program but after looking at the website more closely, I realized that they only accept people with a master's degree into the PhD program. And even their PhD's aren't fully funded, let alone their masters. So I never even bothered finishing my application. So don't feel bad, I think an unfunded masters with some tuition reduction is the best they offer people

It is my dream school ; (

Email to check the website... Applied to Ph.D. but offered MA with 50% reduced tuition fees... not going for an unfunded master. Disappointment.

Submitted on Jan 20th. has anybody heard anything about the Turing Studentship interviews yet?

Received a call from a PI, with whom I have worked previously and know well, who told me was admitted. Formal paperwork to follow shortly.

Received a generic email to check application status page where there was a generic rejection letter.

Was expected after not receiving an interview invite.

Received the Science Fellowship financial package, which means I don't have to TA for the first two years I believe.
