Is there anyone has decided to join BU CS?

If you have been accepted and are planning on not going, I beseech you to please inform the DGS of your decision. I have been currently waitlisted, and would really love to go. Thank you!

I haven't heard anything either. I think this means rejection b/c most people finalize their grad school choice for the fall by april 15th.

Does there anyone know the condition of BU CS PhD program? Will they send further offers ? I know they have sent out their first wave of offers during early February. I have an interview with a faculty member two weeks back.

Received a warm e-mail informing me of my wait list status. Playing me like a fiddle!

2a/1w/1r This was in response to my email sent Saturday morning. I still never received a boilerplate email rejection like some others have. Never had anything in my spam folder. Anyway, I knew BU was a long shot and am glad to be able to accept an offer now!

No word yet on how long the wait list is or what my spot is on it. They received more than 500 fiction applications for 10 spots.

A kernel of hope at the tail end of a brutal application season. Applied: 12. Rejected: 9. Accepted: 2. Waitlisted: 1.

Expected. Me dunz: 2a/0w/10r. Tbh, I made errors on 10 out of the 12 manuscripts that I sent in (not that I didn't read then reread the stories--because I did, so many times--but you know how those tricky extra words sneak in....). Take a guess which programs accepted me. I don't know if this means I would have a better shot next year if I made 100% sure my manuscripts were error-free, but for all others out there who maybe made mistakes on their apps, know it's not just you. It's me too (sobs 4 days).

Catherine Con sent a very personable email; it was really nice. This was expected, but surprisingly not upset by it.

Accepted from waitlist. Very excited. At this point, my decision to accept the offer depends on how my other WLs turn out.

If you are still waiting to hear from Boston, look in your spam folder. Apparently others have been marking their rejection emails as spam.

"Dear writer, Our application system takes a while to send out individual notices, and many of you have called or written to find out your status, so I am writing with an update. I'm sorry to tell you that you have not been accepted to the MFA program at BU this year." :'( Expected but still disappointing.
