I am truly sorry to inform you that we are not offering you admission to M.I.T. in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. The number of applicants for admission to the graduate school greatly exceeds the number which can be accommodated, and it has been necessary to refuse admission to many fine applicants. We appreciate your interest in M.I.T. and sincerely hope that you will be able to continue your professional studies elsewhere. I don't think it is the point as the following guys said. It means that they just wish us have a good another school can go. Think about it, if it is not MIT but other Universities wrote this, are you guys still mad about the last sentence?

FU*K YOU MIT! I don't understand how I can possibly be accepted to this school. I have an undergrad from top 5 eng schools in US. I have 3 research internships: CMU Robotics, Stanford Aerospace, ETH Zurich. I worked for a year at JPL. In total I have 3 first author publications, and 4 conference letters. My LORs were really great. MIT faculty encouraged me to apply... one of them even said you should be able to get in easily. FU*CK you MIT. Waste of my money.........

Expected, but still a bit sad

i made it a point not to apply MIT again. Stupid is the guy who does the same and expect different results. I am yet to see students who genuinely applied and got admitted. Infact,all the admissions are decided before December 15 itself. They get what they want and We are just shedding out admission fee for their benefits. Let's wake up and donot get trapped under brand namesu
