I am assuming I have been rejected. My application is still under review and has been under review since Jan 1st 2024. It's been almost 7 months since I applied and I have not heard anything so I'm going to take this as a rejection and move on.

Emailed DGS on Apr 22. Emailed dept coordinator on May 5 after no reply. A third person replied to me on June 5 saying I was denied, and they updated the portal June 6.

did not receive email-have been checking application status every day. one sentence rejection. waited over 4.5 months for the rejection. classy

Rejected - not even an email, nothing. Just one sentence in the portal.

One single line confirming rejection - not impressed by their communication over the whole process or how long it took them to update!

LIS area. Previously got an unfunded offer and today got the funded offer! Really excited and will accept.

High waitlist. Notified of acceptance by email.

Is anyone still waiting here? I received waitlist through email and also heard there was little movement but I haven't received official rejection.. My subfield is astronomy.

Finally heard back from Rutgers. I guess hearing nothing/no updates in the portal was a soft waitlist? I got an email from one of the Professors I had spoken to before I applied notifying me I had been admitted off the waitlist. Wanted to post here since I know a lot of us haven't heard anything from the department...seems like there has been movement.

Off the waitlist 🥲 Completely unexpected, was already preparing my application for the next cycle. Best surprise!

Omit status. Any news from that Ph.D. program offered by Rutgers New Brunswick? I submitted my application in January but I haven't received any answer yet. My admission status in the application portal still says "under review"
