hi, i'm poster below w/ unofficial acceptance from 2/5. Saw a lot of questions in forum so I'll tell ya what I know. Prof (not in SOP) reached out to me requesting Skype interview, he told me that the professors get a list of all the students who state interest on application in their subfield (ie. biophysics or mechanics) and then can interview them. Afterwards, they click the button accepting the student if they like them. I got official notice from Harvard on 2/13.

Interview invite sent out on 1/17

After talking with PI, meeting up with them, and visiting the department I knew I just had to wait. 2 NASA internships, years of research, multiple conferences - I’m so excited! To the poster below, I’m in atmospheric sciences.

So excited!!

Interviewed once at the end of December, again a couple of weeks ago. Very average GRE scores, MSc in Mathematics.

Said that they have a "short roster of alternate candidates," and will notify me if a position becomes available

To the individuals below - I was informed by a POI yesterday that I have been accepted. The email mentioned the official acceptance emails would be sent out on February 19th.
