Sent complaint email about mistake in form letter

No word here either even after politely reaching out to the department. Expecting a rejection now but I feel like a generic letter in March is a pretty lame way to receive a rejection so I'm hoping for an email soon.

3rd rejection waiting on 5 schools. Same error in letter as others but def nicer than UCB.

Mine is still 'under review' as well. Since one person was notified about being waitlisted I think we are rejected but not yet notified.

Though I applied for the PhD program, I received an automated letter of rejection for the MA program (as did many others). Stanford really doesn't seem to have their shit together this year.

My apologies. The system we use, via CollegeNet, to send notification of status letters to applicants is automated. A mistake was made impacting all those applicants to the Ph.D. degree program who have been denied admission. The letter of denial to the M.A. degree program was sent, in error, to all those denied admission to the Ph.D. Corrected letters are to be sent out tonight; and, you should find the corrected letter of denial to the Ph.D. degree program in your CollegeNet ApplyYourself account, tomorrow. I am sorry that the department was not able to offer you admission to the Ph.D. for the 2017-2018 academic. I wish you the great success in your Graduate career. Please contact me with any questions.

Same careless rejection letter saying I've been rejected by their MA program; did get my hope too high from the beginning but it still hurts. Congrats to all who've got in!

Email to check status. Status letter contained several sloppy (and kind of strange) errors. Oh well, congrats to those who got in, got my top choice elsewhere!

Letter states not accepted to Master's program same as everyone else. I wrote an email to the department and to Paulla Ebron expressing my disappointment that in sending a sensitive notification they cannot even get basic details right. I expected this result as I was not interviewed. Some may have only found out today. I think it is highly disrespectful and requested they send an apology to all applicants who were carelessly given the wrong letter. No doubt everyone agnonized over every word of their SOP, so they should give some basic attention to detail.

Email to check website. Like others have said, the letter mentioned being rejected from the MA program - but I applied for PhD.

Emailed with link to decision. I also was rejected from "the Masters program in Anthropology," though I applied to the PhD.
