Not necessarily unexpected: It's very likely that my research interests did not properly align with faculty sponsorship. However since the rejection document was generic, one can only speculate. -- It was worth a shot, however! (It's a small program, so it's unlikely that anyone else on here will even be posting about it!) -- I just wish they would have let me know sooner -- Waiting this late only to be rejected is sort of anti-climatic. :) -- I may re-apply with a stronger application next year.
