Found out from someone in the department that they had fly outs two weeks ago for the pre-admission campus visit. If you haven't been invited then it means you got rejected.

Just learned that all offers have been sent out and no more will be issued this year, even if all accepted students decline their offers. If you haven't heard yet, a rejection is on its way.

to the poster below: If your argument is correct, I feel so sad. In addition, I applied to UVA and it is my top choice so I am very worrying about not being admitted. Anyway, I hope your thought is not real.

to the poster below: Are you sure? why do you think competition is tough this year? Do you have a ground?

Professors may be top level but his profile or LOR may not. Also, the LOR from their alumnus didn't work this year either. It is said that this year competition is tough one not just in those but all top30.

TOB : Are you for real?

Two recommendations from top professors ( one from Ivy League Econ Department and one from Ivy League business school senior professor ) and one recommendation from MIT Ph.D. Professor

Had an interview in late Jan

Did anyone hear from Yale?

Had an interview before

Admitted into the doctoral programme at Yale University. This follows a series of interviews in late January.

Does anybody know how many applications for EE program this year? How is the process going?

Unbelievable !! (Also, just goes to show ya -- don't be afraid of a mediocre subject test score!)
