Received an email asking that I check my application portal.

So I didn't receive the letter because I'm abroad and I don't have my own mailbox/address, so the letter's probably in a random post office somewhere and the workers have no way of contacting me. I emailed and got an answer.

Standard rejection email. Not my first choice. University of Alabama here I come!

"No major professor is available for the specialization proposed by the applicant." Oh well, what can I say.

Email directing to the website. Very nice letter indicating the reason for rejection. "No major professor is available for the specialization proposed by the applicant." I'm not sad since they're right.

Standard rejection letter mentioning that there were too many applicants for the amount of spaces available.

No word on funding, just a program acceptance. Really looking forward to possibly with Malaby et al.

I originally applied to the PhD program for forensics but got an email a couple weeks ago suggesting I switch my application to their masters program so I did. I so glad!
