Really sad about this one.

2 years' research experience, 1 co-first author publication (IF>5)

2.5 years research experience after undergrad. No publications. 1 Poster. I guess publications matter too much. Dissapointed. :(

3 years of research experience in a lab of functional genomics. No pub. They typically make offers to about 10 - 12% of applicants.

1 year of undergraduate research, 1 year of industry experience, and 1 year of experience as a tech in a lab. Experience isn't directly related to the program but I wanted to transition into it.

4+ years of research experience, one publication and another in process

Not sure what you have to do to get into this program. I'm a master's student with a graduate certificate in bioinformatics. Master's GPA of 3.8 and extensive coursework and research experience in computational biology and genomics.
