Accepted after one interview on Jan 24 with POI

Had a Zoom call with the person who interviewed me, they notified me I got in. They said the official letters will be out by the end of the week, no comments on "rounds" or anything like that.

6 papers, 3 strong letters, 3 interviews from 3 poi. rejected at last

MLD, I regret to inform you that we are unable to admit you to the Ph.D. in Machine Learning program at Carnegie Mellon University. We received over 620 applications this year. Unfortunately, we could admit only a fraction of the applicants, even though many more had strong qualifications. You will be notified separately by each program to which you have applied.

Got an email to check status update in portal. Admitted to Computer Science PhD program in school of interactive computing.

Machine Learning Department, no interview.

Ignore the waitlist: to the person below -- I have also not been interviewed for CS. Emailed the department grad admissions office -- the decisions will be made before 1/3

Not funded:)

Now informal from professor. The formal notification should be in a week.

First-Class Honours (top 5%) from Oxbridge. 2 workshop pubs. Research Internship in top 5 CS uni in the US. No communication so far. It's been 9 weeks, so assuming reject for now. Has anyone heard? (Please Ignore Waitlist!)

I wrote two professors' names in my SOP. Both of them have taken my interview individually. UIUC has central admission, but I believe the professors' recommendations greatly mattered in my case.

No GRE, No Interview
