Emailed the administrator after seeing some rejection posts and was told that I was not among those invited for an interview. I will take it as a rejection and move on. Not a perfect fit with the POI and already got an interview somewhere else. Good luck to anyone else!

I was rejected on Dec. 18th but didn't get notified until the postal service sent the rejection letter to me one month later.

Emailed the program director - all interview invites have already been sent out. There's always next year!

For the poster below, do you think MIT reaches out to international applicants separately or they are done sending out interviews?

I asked for an update on my application since I saw many Stanford posts here. Their response: Beginning the week of January 7, 2019, program/department admissions committees will start to contact those applicants who have been selected for an interview. The selected applicants will be invited, at our expense, to arrive on Wednesday, February 27 and depart on Sunday, March 3, 2019. This is our only interview session. All applicants will receive some sort of decision (interview invitation or denial notice) by the end of January.

Poster below, I do not want to be the bearer of bad news, but I was contacted by the program administrator with an email inviting me to the interview. I do not know if all invites were sent, but I am sending positive thoughts your way, and hope you have an email coming soon.
