That wait is so long it's almost a relief to get some kind of response, even a rejection! I'll be waiting for mine now, I live in NYC so it should be quick. Who signed the letter?

I received a letter with a cliché rejection paragraph but the paper is fancy though. The letter was dated March 31st, for those who wonder the decision date. Four days arrival time in-state, kudos.

they still deciding, and it takes another month, which is late april. so annoying.

They're now sending out their mail? It's odd to be sending it this late if they made their decisions back in February. I think I saw 2 people that got acceptances early but I'd think there would be more. Maybe they were just stellar first round candidates. NYU has been dead silent, Columbia is the other one. Their deadline was Dec 1st. We're in April and I have yet to receive a status change from "Pending". It's really infuriating that it's the week before April 15th and 75% of my schools haven't responded yet.

I saw that some people were admitted back in February (e-mail notifications) so we are just waiting to get our rejection letters :/

NYU said that decision letters will be sent by only mail in this week. Therefore it is normal that you did not hear anything...

I still have heard nothing official from these schools. What's the deal?

I called and asked. Sad.

I asked whether I got in or not via email, and they notified me the decision in their answer to my inquiry.

an e-mail to say they needed my transcript to send the official notice. i applied for the phd but its the unfunded MA i got.

Is April 15th a general guideline for reply to schools? I'm hoping if so, then some of my school would at least have to reply to me before then. Anyone heard anything from Polytechnic or NYU for CS PhD?
