Applied for AOC division; subject gre is physics. According to the e-mail, the primary culprit was a decline in federal funding. Process was extremely late this year (possibly due to funding issues?); the department typically commits to releasing all results by March 15th.

The number of applicants for admission to the Graduate School greatly exceeds the number which can be accommodated and it has been necessary to refuse admission to some fine applicants.We appreciate your interest in MIT and sincerely hope that you may be able to continue with your professional studies elsewhere. My response: issok issok I got admission from my 2nd choice so whatever I don't like Boston anyways but why it takes four months noooo? whatever i dont want to knoww *internal sobbing*

From professor, formal acceptance coming soon

First time poster in this section. I got waitlisted a long time ago. The group director asked me to interview on campus, so I gladly did. I'm hoping to still get accepted but haven't heard anything.

I really didn't want to go here, and the interviewers might have picked up on that. I'm also not as wet lab or structural biology focused as they'd probably like.

So I really called up the ChemE Dept and asked them about the decisions. They said the website will be updated by the end of this week. Looks like only the rejections are yet to be sent.

To people who’ve got accepted, I have gotten waitlisted and am wondering when is the Visit Day for accepted students. Could anyone here help me?

I called them again and they informed me that the decisions will be sent by the end of this week. -_-

I applied for PhD program and also checked 'yes' to be considered as Master's. I sent an email to the department and they didn't even read it. Am I waitlisted or already rejected but they were not interested in sending a reject letter?

Was in contact with a potential PI, no interviews, and then emailed rejection.
