To the USC poster below, USC is generally known to give out admits till May but your info could be true as I have seen lot of admits with low gre scores but good gpa. So if they give admit for spring, is it advisable to prefer it over ASU fall admit ?? Thanks. | ||||

Hopes crashed, dreams shattered. Not admitted in the last wave of admits. Research interests perfectly aligned with those of PoI. Invalidated 1/7 of the results of one of his projects funded by a $500k NSF grant, and the main-author acknowledged the mistake. If that is not good enough for them to admit an MS student, I don't know what is. Had applied for the Network Systems track. I had wrongly assumed that top researchers are genuinely interested in their work. It seems some of them are driven by the 'publish or perish' culture. I know that finding mistakes in a paper presented at a top-5 conference is not indicative of my research-ability, but it does not mean I am a nitwit either. Hugely disappointed in UCLA, and myself. | ||||
