"...... recommended against your acceptance ......" this kind of words make people angry on this poorly functioning department. I do not blame the result because I have better places to go, however something really need to be done to this department so that it can recover and function properly.

To former poster regarding Industrial, PhD: Usually recommended by program means the program has accepted you, and they are only waiting for the graduate school to finish up the formalities/complete the details of the offer; so for what its worth, that would be my best guess. If I'm right, congratulations!

For anyone evaluating multiple offers, including Pratt, RISD, and Art Center, please accept or decline ASAP to make room for those WL'd. This is my target program!
