I am the poster that was accepted below... GPA 4.0, Cum GPA 4.0, Sub GPA 4.0. I already have a master's in Linguistics, a bunch of RA positions, background in research, and TA work teaching phonetics. Lots of scholarships including a SSHRC - but I haven't been in university for 6 years and I don't have any related work experience since then or volunteer hours. I guess I got in on the strength of my academic background in linguistics? No funding was offered, which was what I was expecting. I hope that's what you mean by stats. Checked portal randomly today and saw link to decision letter at the bottom. Completely shocked I am accepted because of my low GRE. Seems like they are going out in waves, and they look at all pieces of application - I had extensive resume, strong PS and LOR! Official letter coming in the mail, no word on funding yet. | ||||
