Received an email I was accepted on 4/11 at around 8AM, but it went to my spam folder. Faculty sent another email 4/12 asking if I was still interested. Had assumed rejection because I had no prior communication about anything from them and my portal said No Decision on 4/10. Totally blindsided. Took a tour of the campus yesterday & did a phone call with a current student. Really loved it even w/ the communication issue; considering accepting once I know what's happening with the WL at my top choice. Suggest everyone check their spam folders - I have no idea if I was on a secret waitlist or something, but the notification came super late??

Are there any other rounds of admits left for these universities? Or only rejection are pending.

Will likely being denying acceptance of admission to attend another program.

Accepted off the waitlist... Is this real life?

To the poster below: I also received that email, same wording. I assumed it was a form rejection, albeit a very nice one.

Yeeeeeep, no email, just checked the portal.

No email; checked the website after seeing the notifications here. Two years go by too quickly anyway! 4a/1r/0w/3p

Checked the portal. It's a denial. 1a/9r/0w/5p.

Logged into the portal to see a rejection within 5 minutes of the waitlist notification from Rutgers-Newark. No email.

Logged into the portal to see status changed to “you have been placed on a waiting list.” No further info yet provided.

:) Cross-posted in Draft

I didn't post on draft, and I was accepted.

Extremely nice call from Paul Lisicky. 2a/0w/4r/6p

Very happy about this news as this was one of the top two programs for me. To everyone still waiting for good news, I was rejected last year from two of the three places I applied, including Rutgers. Do not give up hope if you were rejected. It means you have more time to do your own thing! Stay strong and flexible. Personally, I think applying to more programs than I thought I could made me better at navigating the process. I hope this helps. 3a/1interview/0w/0r/8p

Hey y'all! Just checked the portal randomly. Called them Monday and they said they'd be notifying this week. 0a/6r. No dice for me, but we all just gotta keep working. Gonna drop my instagram here @writtenbylucas for any writers that wanna connect. Good luck everybody!
