I want to persue my masters in mechanical engineering in Germany.

Got an email to check the website. It was a really drawn out process and I don't feel that my application even got looked at because I applied after January 15th even though they were still accepting applications. I feel like I ONLY received the rejection once I emailed them a few days ago about the status. Which tells me that my application would've remained without decision/ignored if I hadn't emailed about it but who knows.

Did anyone else receive any notification from the University regarding admission? I still have not received any decision on my application and I don't know when they will release the decisions. Contacting them at this point seems to bear no fruit as they keep saying the same thing. Has anyone else received any sort of notification as to when they will receive a decision?

After taking almost 5 months, they offered a rejection.

I heard the same thing from the graduate office. Apparently, they waitlisted my application. Expecting mass rejects this week.

Received a reply from the Grad office saying that the official replies can be expected within this week, with the admissions for Fall 2019 coming to a close soon.

Anyone got admitted to MIE Meng program recently? been anxiously waiting for about 8 weeks :(

TTPB: Seriously! Did they forget to send the rejection emails??

Didn't even have the courtesy to give me an email notification after contacting the admissions folks. I had to email one of the profs who interviewed me to get an answer. Got a better offer elsewhere, but how inconsiderate.

TOEFL-110. Applied for M.Engg. program which is self-funded and so a rejection hurts. Wow, I thought this university was a good match for my profile. It appears that competition in this country is getting fierce by the day. Good luck to all other applicants.

TTPB: Congratulations on your offer. How long did it take for them to make a decision on your application? I applied last week and would like to know how much I have to wait.

When I mailed them regarding application status, got reply as- 'Thank you for your interest in our PhD programme. Your PhD application is not shortlisted for the August 2019 intake, but it is still active and in the pool for review. You will be notified if your application is shortlisted for other semester.' What does this mean??

Truly dream come true. GRE 314, IELTS 7.5, CGPA 6.72/10, 2 Strong LORs from Profs at IIT Bombay, Completely out of the box SOP. Everyone said I don't stand a chance, but I never lost hope. So, All the best to all those waiting for results or still yet to apply, you never know what they may like in you, so hope for the best.

Applied for their Ph.D. program, but got admission for MS in Mechanical Engineering program. No funding. Any thoughts from any prospective students. Thanks in advance
