Disappointing that BC, among other programs, don't inform all applicants at once of their status. Especially when adcoms tell the people they plan to reject the following via email in the middle of March: "Our admissions process is currently ongoing. We aim to notify applicants by late March or early April. We appreciate your patience." Disrespect.

whatever. i dont even know why i applied here. oh yea, ROXANE GAY. otherwise, this program is subpar.

My friend was accepted on Feb 27th via phone. He's already received his package regarding the course load and examples of past classes. Decisions have def been made despite the fact that my anticipated rejection has not been updated on the website.

I appreciate receiving a well-written professional letter of rejection from Irvine, rather than having to assume I was deemed rejected (as their Dept. of English's web site explains, for all those who applied but never heard back from the school).

After someone else said that the rejection was hiding out in their promotions tab on gmail, I decided to check, too...sure enough :( :(

... the relief of finally getting the rejection you knew was coming!

I still haven't heard anything. My page still says, "congratulations your application has been submitted." I tried to call the other day but it brings you round and round without putting you on hold if the lines are full. Knowing that some people got their notifications already and their spring break is next week, this is kind of torture.

This wins for best rejection letter. Not being sarcastic: "It is a difficult process; this kind of selection, fraught with error and speculation, and it does not confer a negative judgment upon the work of those whom we do not admit."

at least it's an official notification...

Accepted with no funding.

LOL. I wouldn't have gone even if they'd accepted me.

Other Montana person: This just happened to me as well. Log back in and suddenly it's a rejection letter? I'm horrified, and this is absolutely unacceptable, either way.

Brace yourselves. The executioner's swinging her axe.

Full funding and teaching stipend. Ecstatic!

Received an email saying a decision letter was available, opened the document fully prepared to cry at all of my rejections. I cannot believe this!! No word on funding, but crossing my fingers so hard because I would do anything to go here!!! Miracles happen, kids.
