Frustrating and a bit unexpected, but not heartbroken. Congrats to all who got in!

Just received the email. Subfield: comparative politics.

Congratulations! When did you interview? Thanks a lot!

The programme director emailed the offer. The funding is comparable to top US b-schools thanks to the recent pound appreciation.

Randomly checked portal.

Canadian student. First class MA average.

This one kinda hurts as it's where I'm doing my MA. Undergrad GPA 3.77. Grad GPA 4.0. Several policy papers and other smaller publications. 0a/9r/3p

thrilled

No email. App tracker just updated today. They are still rolling out rejections! 4a/2wl/8r

Full funding straight from undergrad, such a relief! IR subfield

Logged in to this: "Unfortunately you have been unsuccessful in your application for your first choice course. An email has been sent to you. The competition for places at LSE is intense and inevitably many well qualified applicants cannot be accepted. This decision is final, and no further comment can be made." No email

Never got an email (as portal indicates). Got rejected on the portal.

Anyone here back about the funding letter yet?

To the post below: I completely understand your situation. But let's wait. At least, Universities in Italy are transparent in that they not only inform on the acceptance/rejection, but they also provide applicant's score and rank as well, which could most possibly be out any day next week [as informed in the interview].

This is really a kick in the gut. It looks like the best fit for all my applications. Congrats to all admits and best of luck to all who are yet to receive news.

To the post below: Even if you were not invited for an interview, the selection criteria does not consider any points from the interview (at least, that is what the official call mentions - also someone below, previously wrote about it). I had an interview, and I felt like the interview was only to get a feel of the candidate's general attitude and to have a basic idea of whether they would willing to work with the candidate. It was just a normal discussion of research interests, academic fit and general conversation on how the Phd caters to what you want to achieve.

Feeling a bit discouraged that I have not been invited for an interview- it seems as if my chances of admission may be low at this point :( Does anyone who participated in an interview (for the PhD in Social and Political Science) have insight re: the interview purpose & what was discussed?

Undergrad from mid-tier russell group university. Very pleased.
