international student with no funding

Hey guys, has anyone received any news from UBC? I was interviewed by PI late Dec. and mid Jan. However, still nothing?

Hey guys, has anyone received any news from UBC? I was interviewed by PI late Dec. and mid Jan. However, still nothing?

Got off the waitlist for my dream PhD program and immediately rejected the QMSS offer (want to build some good karma:))

I did not get an official rejection from the department yet. But since I haven't heard back from them, I emailed the faculty that I was most interested in working with and who I contacted about my application before applying. He basically told me that I was not admitted. It's not official, but I think he contacted the committee and specifically asked about my application before getting back to me. Idk why they didn't officially notify me yet that I was rejected. Best of luck to everyone.

TTPB: Do you know how much this Master's costs? Because I cant find any information anywhere. And its not really guaranteed that you'll get into a great law school, just keep that in mind! Im debating if I should go here... :x

M.Arch with program scholarship

So happy!

Interviewed. Acceptance came a week later.

!

Hadn't heard anything from them yet but emailed them to withdraw my application since I knew it wasn't the right program for me. Got an email from them saying that they were going to accept me, but were just waiting on the dean to approve the acceptances (apparently he's been slow at getting back to them, but they have to wait for his approval before notifying any applicants). Saying this for those who are waiting on Columbia- if you haven't heard back from them still, don't worry!

Not sure how they expect us to make a decision in three weeks.

(contd) I also have no debt from undergrad, so that really helped with being okay with paying full price lmaoo

No funding. Already accepted that this might just be cash cow. But I knew before applying to this program that I'm gonna go to law school after, so this will help tremendously. Graduates of this program have gone on to great law schools (Harvard, Columbia, etc), so. I was already ready to pay sticker price to go to law school (~$300,000 for 3 years) and then go to biglaw to pay off the debt, so this won't be anything else except for another year of law school but cooler classes lol. Oh well *shrug* lol.

TTBP: I'm one of the acceptances below that said I have 3 years of work exp in ML Engineering. I was accepted to the full-time on-campus program, NOT the CVN program. Hope that helps and good luck.

Question: For you guys that received acceptance for MSCS(below), and are working, is this for on-campus program or online?

Three years program, with scholarship
