To the poster below asking about if I had an interview with any professors at UT Austin, the answer is no. I received an email on April 9 that I had been admitted, and I had not ever heard from them before.

I have heard nothing from them. I'm not even sure this program is happening. There aren't any current student testimonials on the site for Dance but there are for every other program. It still says "In Review" so I assume I wouldve heard by now if I was rejected, but I can't even find confirmation that this program is really going to take place in the fall. The lack of communication is very disappointing

after all the communication, assurance from Professors and this long wait, they reject !!

Plasma/Quantum Electronics and Optics track

After the post below, I called and left a message. They got back to me on the 2nd saying the portal doesn't have an option for Wait List, so they just left it "In Review." I was told I'd hear more after the 15th.

To the poster below with the question regarding UT Austin Chemistry admissions. My application status still says "Forwarded to the graduate committee for review". I spoke to the coordinator and she said that most of the offers have been made and the final decisions will be out sometime in April

Is there anyone still waitng for it? I've emailed the secretory and be told that most offers have been made but the selection is still in procedure. lol

Anybody else on the waitlist? If so, were you notified by email? Lastly, I was told we would know by April 15, unfortunately, I am still holding on to an offer which is also due by the 15th. Bummer, I was hoping UT would get back to us before the looming deadline.

Most schools try to get back to people before April 15th out of courtesy, but they are not required to respond. What the April 15th Resolution says is that if you accept an offer before or on that day then it is expected both the student and school will honor the agreement. Realistically, students can change their mind after this date and schools can send out acceptances after this date as well, but that is probably rare.

Aren't they obligated to release the results before April 15?

I contacted the professor I want to work with on 20th March about the status of my application. He replied that 'I checked in the office handling your application. The response was that it is still under consideration, no decision yet.' So I hope there are a few more positions left.

To the poster who contacted the graduate advisor: Do they still have offers left or it is just rejection formality?
