One school, not my favorite, and there are several to come. Deep breaths.

Was accepted in April.

"I’m writing to let you know that we have finalized our incoming cohort for the 2015-16 academic year. All of our funded positions have been filled, and we were not able to offer you one of those positions. In very rare circumstances, an accepted applicant might need to withdraw. Should anything change and should a space become available, we will let you know, but if you do not hear from us it means those spaces have remained filled." Did I miss something? This almost sounds like I was on a waitlist they never told me about, doesn't it? Oh well.

Hey! I was just wondering if anyone on the fiction waitlist at Pratt has heard back yet?

Accepted off waitlist today

To the Columbia wait-lister below: Last year, for fiction at least, some people got in off the wait-list over the summer and one person was even offered a spot in August (which they accepted). Either way, I think it's fair for you to contact the program and ask about your status. Same for the NYU wait-lister. Good luck!

Okay, but for real UW Seattle? It's the 22nd.. Anyone heard?

Has anyone who is wait-listed for Columbia University Creative Writing MFA program, heard anything yet?

Has anyone who is wait-listed for NYU's Creative Writing MFA program, heard anything yet?

Email to check website.

Finally got an e-mail from the Office of Admissions to go to online status check. "We regret to inform you that the Admissions Committee for the graduate program you requested did not approve your application for admission. If you have questions regarding this decision, please contact the academic program." Figured as much but couldn't you have told me that a month ago, FSU?

Got in off of the wait-list this morning by email from the program director! I wasn't home, so I missed the phone call, but apparently my mom spoke to her, lol. Very excited and accepting!

Rejected off waitlist.

I emailed the coordinator again inquiring about my "limbo waitlist" status, and have been informed that the fiction cohort is full! sigh, at least it's finally over. Hope this information helps some of you who haven't heard from UCR yet! x

I don't know if this was a secret waitlist or what. I just know that notifying on April 17th is a dick move. Of course I'd already accepted elsewhere, but still. Program might be alright, but their admissions process is terrible.

What a joke. I was apparently on some reserve list that they didn't even bother to tell me about until I asked, then they notify after most other programs. A waste of $75; I could have bought whiskey with that, or applied somewhere else. I've already accepted another offer at a much better program.

no email, just checked the website
