Checked website and was accepted to both MAPSS and MACSS... also got a half tuition scholarship for both... what does everyone think about these programs vs a funded PhD offer from a top 30?

Received email today, but I actually checked the portal like 5 days ago and knew I was admitted. Accepted without any doubt. In the admission letter they said they admitted 40 students into economics concentration.

2/3 financial aid. Interdisciplinary program.

Admitted to interdisciplinary concentration with 2/3 tuition scholarship after direct application. Still a bit too expensive for my budget so not sure whether it would be worth it

Like many others, I did not get into the Sociology PhD program, but I did get into MAPSS. I am heavily debating this offer, especially since getting 1/3 tuition.

I applied to economics department. Any acceptance news? I see one reject from biology department, but I guess they are still reviewing the applications? Last year, they sent out the decisions around this time.

Straight out of undergrad, internship at state senate, medium-sized think-tank, and public policy research assistant at small state school. 1/3rd tuition scholarship.
