Unofficially rejected, talked to graduate admission director, they have already sent the first round of offers. Their statements seem to be very paradoxical, on one hand they say, if there will be another offers, it will be sent after 15th Apr, but on the other hand, they don't take students from waiting list.

Was told that the first round of acceptances have already gone out, and it is unlikely that they will be admitting more people. Was encouraged to reapply next year

With interview. Dean's fellowship. 10 publications, 3 in major conferences, 1yr abroad at MIT during undergraduate degree.

E-mailed the POI, and got a response saying that he have funding for only one student, and he has sent an offer to another student who 95% will come. I have strong scores, letters, and research experience (1 oral presentation, and 2 manuscripts in preparation), and was highly ranked.
