I originally posted the question about the Boise State decisions. Just got my rejection tonight. Off to Colorado State this fall, so I'm a happy camper, in spite of it all! Best of luck to everyone else who applied to Boise State.

A couple days ago I heard that BU is still deciding for fiction. The wait is excruciating, but we'll have to wait longer.

To the person who also posted about BU, I haven't heard back yet either and with AWP going on, I imagine it's not the best sign to have not yer heard....

Has anyone heard from BU? I saw one fiction acceptance posted a few weeks ago on here, but no rejections yet.

I was on the waitlist (had to call the department to find this out), but today received an email from Cynthia Hogue letting me know I'm--now--officially rejected. That's, like, a bummer, man.

Called last week, didn't hear my phone. Called back, phone tag ensued. Director sent email and set a time to talk on the phone.

To the other Boise State applicants: I received an email a week ago telling me that I was at the top of their short list for acceptance into their program (for fiction). No word since.

Just received an email from UW stating that they have made offers and are waiting to hear, that no one has been rejected yet, and that we should know by next week.. So just a little longer in purgatory.

To the other Boise State poster, I wasn't accepted. Still waiting to hear. They also gave me someone to email. I've followed up but heard nothing. This has been one long pain in the butt process. Best of luck to you!

Please if you are waitlisted at McNeese or have other offers, PLEASE decide to turn it down ASAP. It's my only chance at an MFA this year...

Anyone else heard from Boise State lately? I was told decisions would be out by the end of the month.

Voicemail left offering acceptance.

To the person below: I haven't heard anything back from UW or Alaska yet… Not sure if that's good or bad.

For those noticing that McNeese is now offering less money, note that Louisiana is experiencing a massive budget crisis (1.6 billion), and the only thing that can be cut is education and health care. The universities are preparing for huge budget cuts.

Called grad department to inquire, spoke to a very nice woman. She said if you haven't been contacted by this point you're on the waitlist.

Hopeful: this program is at the top of my list. If you've been accepted and do not plan on going, please inform them as soon as possible. Best of luck to those admitted and those waiting.

Fantastic news, even though it's just a waitlist. My first non-no of the app season just when I was about to give up. Not sure what funding is like, though.
