Email to check portal.

Yea this one stung 😔

sadddd

Got an email saying to check the portal. It happens! Still plenty of schools to go.

Pretty bummed. Good program, but I didn't really want to live in NC. 0a/1r/0w/12p

My hands are literally shaking. I was so sure I wasn't going to get into this one.

Thanks to grad cafe that I know my OSU result is out. Only three sentences on the portal. Suprised the decision is made without notifies applicants

MA GPA 4.0. Was one of the earliest apps I submitted, so probably not super polished. Also have a unique interest in 20th/21st-century SF. Not surprised, but definitely bummed. Hoping for better news soon!

Super positive phone call from the DGS who talked about specific strengths in my application! I applied here two years ago (with the same writing sample and SOP) and was rejected. In the intervening time, I attended and dropped out of a different program, which I figured would be a mark against me. I feel like that illustrates how seemingly arbitrary and occasionally wonderful this process can be :)

Got a phone call from the graduate program. Super thrilled to learn that I got into the program with 5 years of funding. The official acceptance letter will be sent in a day.

Incredibly thrilled for this!!! Second year applying to PhDs, first ever acceptance. 1a/1r/5p

International MA, 18-19 C British. Invited for the Welcome Event- no further details, but NE always conducts interviews. I do not use this forum much, so unable to reply to comments. Hope this info helps, and best wishes to all.
