"I’m writing to let you know that we have finalized our incoming cohort for the 2015-16 academic year. All of our funded positions have been filled, and we were not able to offer you one of those positions. In very rare circumstances, an accepted applicant might need to withdraw. Should anything change and should a space become available, we will let you know, but if you do not hear from us it means those spaces have remained filled." Did I miss something? This almost sounds like I was on a waitlist they never told me about, doesn't it? Oh well.

Okay, but for real UW Seattle? It's the 22nd.. Anyone heard?

Has anyone who is wait-listed for NYU's Creative Writing MFA program, heard anything yet?

Email to check website.

Finally got an e-mail from the Office of Admissions to go to online status check. "We regret to inform you that the Admissions Committee for the graduate program you requested did not approve your application for admission. If you have questions regarding this decision, please contact the academic program." Figured as much but couldn't you have told me that a month ago, FSU?

Got in off of the wait-list this morning by email from the program director! I wasn't home, so I missed the phone call, but apparently my mom spoke to her, lol. Very excited and accepting!

Rejected off waitlist.

I don't know if this was a secret waitlist or what. I just know that notifying on April 17th is a dick move. Of course I'd already accepted elsewhere, but still. Program might be alright, but their admissions process is terrible.

Had accepted another offer days before. This was the last school though so now it finally feels finished. What a hellish 8 months! Now time to MFA.

Notified by phone at the end of March. Accepted the offer.

There's that rejection I was waiting for all day yesterday...

Also still haven't heard from BU yet.....

Am I the only one who did not receive anything from BU? Really nervous, bc I don't have many other options.

Finally. Expected after seeing all the acceptances and wait lists go out so long ago. Congratulations to those admitted! I'm heading somewhere else. :)

Email from the director. Said they received 350 applications for fiction this year.

Best wishes to the ten students who were accepted.

Email notification to check website for status update. Logged into website to find rejection notice.

Still waiting for acceptance/rejection in Fiction.

The e-mail was incredibly unprofessional – didn't even have my name included, just "Dear applicant." And this is after having ignored my e-mail three weeks ago.

A little stung. BSU's graduate admissions office really dropped the ball on my application. Because of the blunder, they offered to put my app in the Fall 2016 pool. Two for one deal!
