BS GPA: 14.85/20 --- MSc GPA: 17.53/20 --- TOEFL: 111 --- 2 published journal papers --- 3 under review journal papers --- 2 international conference papers

Received an offer for admission in mid-March. But was told funding is not available this week, and they advise me not to attend... I really, really have nothing to say...

To the UCLA applicant who was rejected today, how exactly did they notify you via website? I'm still waiting, and still hoping. I've already been accepted to UCSD and had to admit there since the deadline for the decision already passed, but logistically, UCLA is still my top choice should I be accepted.

To the poster below: Actually before applying i contacted with Dr. Rodriguez...she encouraged me to apply. Last week I wrote her too, she replied me to be patient. Now I am getting anxious that whether she will be recommending me or not.

To the UH poster below: No I'm from Iran. On friday, she asked me to prepare a three page proposal on some topic and also a short presentation. We started off with the presentation, then she asked me a bit about the topic itself and some lab instruments like AFM, SEM and etc( like their operation principals, differences and etc.). Then I briefly talked about my master's thesis. In the end she asked a few questions regarding my plans and expectations. The whole interview lasted for like an hour. I'd be happy to help you if you have any other questions.

I had applied to the department of materials science and engineering but on Friday a professor from the environmental engineering department contacted me by email and arranged an interview for Monday (25.04). A day after the interview she emailed me again to inform me of her decision to take me on.

To the poster below who was accepted in Lehigh, unfortunately I am in the same condition as you, you are true . be careful , the most of universities are cruel about international students , even some of them promise to give fund for the next year but they wont , if you have enough money for all duration of your education in lehigh or other universities then you go there, I do the same otherwise we will find trouble as many of my friends in USA.

My fifth admission without funding... it seems to be more difficult for receiving any financial support form CE department this year.

Finally, I received the decision after such a long wait. Good to know, I'll go to TAMU.

it is already April 26...at least have the decency to update our status to rejection if notifying us through email seems a hassle to u guys. Highly disappointing!!
