Rejected from PhD, admitted to M.A. program. No funding. Already have an M.A. from elite institution in addition to graduate coursework at an ivy. maybe time to give up

To the person saying NYU do not call or email - you are WRONG, professors do indeed call they people they have admitted to be their advisees, they have in the past, I speak from personal experience. I think you should avoid abusing other people on the forum.

The longer it takes for a decision from them, the farther you make it in the cuts. I was almost instantly eliminated from the looks of things. Snobs. ;-)

NYU will only send an acceptance (or rejection) letter through the mail. If you are here stating that they called or emailed you then you are a piece of S**&%%. Thank you

They said they accepted 40 students out of the 150 interviewed

has NYU announced results? i saw some posts of being accepted by email...does that mean others are rejected?

Email to check the website. Made it past the first round of cuts, this was to let me know I did not make it through the second round.

Anyone know if the committee has met? They started contacting for interviews around this time last year...

emails says "one of the select few on our waiting list. Unfortunately this means we will not be able to give you a final decision on your application until after we have received responses from our other students."
