law review publication, strong letters of rec

Okay, so I emailed the admissions person two days ago asking if any decisions had been made (I saw a few weeks ago that some people got accepted). She said that they still hadn't made any decisions and would get back to me. About two hours later I got an email from a Professor asking to talk- he said that there was funding available for me if I wanted to switch my focus to something else. I told him I needed to think about it. Then today I get a generic email saying I've been waitlisted.

Emailed the administrator of the department yesterday to check status as the portal reflected "application sent for review" and received email reply from her this morning that I had been waitlisted. Good luck to all applicants! Hope you all make your decisions sooner rather than later to help us waitlisters out :)

Checked portal, it said "decision has been posted," click on it and there's a one-liner rejection

Y'all, let me tell you a story. Last week, I got rejected from Syracuse and Cornell. I thought I wasn't getting in anywhere. My life was literally over. Instead of going to class Tuesday, I lied in bed watching Gilmore Girls, occasionally pausing it to cry. I couldn't eat. I couldn't sleep. I momentarily wrecked my life because I let rejections and notifications on this website get to me. Then today I got the call I've been imagining since last fall, so...let this be a cautionary tale. Don't let rejections get you down, and more important, don't let this website ruin your life...because it absolutely can.

Too expensive and got an admit from U Wash Seattle, so i guess it doen't matter even if i do get an admit finally.

This was the only program I wanted/ applied to. Too bad!

Advanced Academic Program... much easier admission process. No interview. Fingers crossed for Virginia Tech but it's nice having this option.
