After getting rejected by the Madison campus, five minutes later I received this acceptance! I am so relieved to know that no matter what the other programs decide, I am officially going to graduate school!

email to check portal. 2nd acceptance. happy! ☺️

GPA is MA - First official rejection, so feeling bummed about the rest of the season. Although, we all only need one acceptance!!!

2r/1i Received a standard short email, "Please understand that we received many impressive applications, but we are only able to offer admission to the strongest few." Really feels like the season is just starting! Hoping for the best for the rest of them.

2nd Rejection. Not looking good for me.

A kind email was sent. My first rejection so it stung but this wasn't anywhere near my top choices so I am hoping for a better outcome with the other programs I applied to!

email from DGS

Added to the alternate list. Accepted and trying to remain hopeful.

Very nice personal email from head of department.

Received an email (after prompting) about a funding interview this week.

Got a personalized email from the Director of Graduate Studies

Didn't receive actual email about updated status until today (1/25.) Wasn't the best fit, so not too bummed.

1a/1r/7p. Saw a stream of rejections being posted so when I got an email, I half knew it was going to be a rejection. Letter was a typical one, saying something like: “The number of well-qualified applicants far exceeds the number of available places. So they are unable to admit all applicants judged capable of successful graduate work.” Surprisingly, doesn't hurt as bad as I thought it would. Maybe because I knew Duke wasn't the best fit? Best of luck with forthcoming results! :)

GPA is from M.A. program

excited! :)

definitely bummed about this one!
