To the previous comment, I applied and haven't heard anything back from the program either. Need to know if I was accepted or rejected that way I can make a decision to another school.

I've had no response but am hesitant to email the department until after the decision deadline. Has anyone heard anything?

I emailed the chair of the department directly, apparently only one student was accepted to the biological track of the anthropology PhD this cycle.

I emailed the chair of admissions and was told the same as the poster below, that those rejected should have been notified already, but there had been a mistake.

To the Irvine poster below - not as far as I know. I was not contacted by anyone from Irvine, and I do believe they notified waitlisted people. I heard nothing from them until the application tracker was updated. If you were told that you were on a waitlist, and your tracker hasn't changed, I would assume you are still waitlisted. If so, good luck to you!

To the posters below... mine is still the same. Where you waitlisted from the finalist pool?

I was mistaken. It seems no word is out yet on it so far as I can tell but I did send the dept a email to verify. Still waiting...

The application tracker stated "waiting for supplemental documents" until this morning when it switched to "under review" and this afternoon it switched to the official rejection letter. Good luck to anyone else still waiting!

To the poster who also got accepted for (sociocultural) Anthropology PhD below- congratulations!!! Can I ask how you found out that you didn't get funding? Did you receive an official notification, or did your potential supervisor tell you? Hopefully see you there in any case! :-))))
