Three rejections so far. This one hurts the absolute most.

1st rejection...It stings. Oh well. Good luck to those who get in!

I am writing to let you know that we have not been able to recommend you for admission to the Master’s of Fine Arts program in Creative Writing at Syracuse University. This is a complicated judgment which depends a great deal on the abilities and opinions of those instructors here who must be able to feel that they could clearly serve the development of your writing. Their consensus not to recommend admission to the program should in no way be interpreted as a discouragement of your writing. I know this news disappoints you, and I want to express my sincere best wishes for success in your alternate plans for graduate study. Thank you for your interest in Syracuse.

Oh-so-elegantly written form letter.

For Syracuse: Not yet for fiction (expect towards the beginning of March), but there were poetry acceptances gone out by the end of January.

I got a phone call from Robin. I'm really excited!!!

No word on funding yet.

Definitely didn't expect to hear back so soon. Very excited and very honored to be accepted to the program. Haven't heard about financial aid/ funding yet.

I tried to upload this the day it happened, but it never posted. Just posted one for Minnesota so I thought I'd try again. Anyway, spoke with Michelle via email and was told the waitlist is short and not rank ordered.

1st acceptance offer, 1 rejection already, 5 more schools to go. Excited -- my head is spinning!

i need to sit down, but i'm already sitting.

2a/0w/0r (out of 11). No e-mail to check website. Checked my application status and found decision letter.

Accepted with full funding for first year.
