Interviewed early last week!

Had an informal interview on zoom with two faculty members.

Does anyone get a 10-12 min informal zoom interview with 2 professors from the committee? Is it the only interview we will have or there's a more formal interview coming after that?

Seems like a few international students with a US degree (U) have been admitted in December. Not sure about those without (I) though.

Any International student heard back from cornell chemistry?

Inorganic candidates were accepted via zoom meeting last night, was interviewed once already and then invited to shorter follow up, which was the acceptance

I received a recommendation letter with an unofficial admission letter including a financial package. Is anyone on the same boat? Does it mean I am more likely to be admitted?

Received an email from program coordinator indicating that my application has been recommended for to the graduate program for admission. Official letter will come later. Being offered a 4 months summer traineeship and 4.5k for the first three terms. Didn't contact any PI beforehand.

Graduated from UC Davis with degree of food science and chemistry; 2+ years of industrial research experience; several publications, conferences and posters; first offer, super excited!!!!!

Pchem track. 1 email notifying recommendation from dept, then official email with financial package etc- full funding for 3 years and summer 2021 research opportunity at $2000/mo up to 4 mo. 2.5 years research, 1 publication(not 1st author)

w/ A&S graduate fellowship

increasing GPA, GRE general score submitted, adequate TOEFL score, 2 sci journal first author. Excited to be accepted with guaranteed five years of funding.

Emailed to check my portal for the decision. Large state school undergrad, 3.5 years undergrad research, one presentation, no publications, 2 summer research periods (1 funded)
