I called them to check my status and apparently no decision was made. The staff person told me to email Keith Simmons and ask him what was up. He emailed me today with a rejection.

Haha, NOT accepted by better programs with better teams. It's time to drink!

Hey! How come there are so many wait listed people for UNC-Chapel Hill?? Starting to make me feel less-special.. sigh

Dear God, please, somebody decline their offer and let me in!

Email from Keith Simmons. I really thought I'd been rejected. Nice surprise, I guess.

I called them last week and they told me they are still making decisions are will contacting people this week. So it seems like there is still a chance of being accepted.

most likely rejected, but not 100 percent sure. Contacted them and they told me letters would go out soon and should arrive hopefully by end of week. But with people already receiving offers..

Very nice email from a professor telling me that they reviewed my application "very favorably" but that I didn't make the first round of admits. They will get back to me in the coming weeks re. my status on the waitlist.
