Canadian applicant

Removed myself from the waiting list last week. I talked to Meredith in March and she confirmed that their were only 2 spots this year. I am pretty sure IDM only accepted students with ties to the program since I was accepted at: Berkeley, UWashington, JHU, Columbia, and UMich. My advice is that if you are on the waiting list and already have an offer, take it!

No notification of funding.

I had great test scores, gpa, work experience, etc. They didn't interview applicants, and I had to solicit information throughout the process, including the admissions decision. New program, and it shows.

A rejection e-mail very similar to the one below. Very polite e-mail from Melody Levy saying that a suitable graduate advisor could not be matched to my profile. She was kind enough to say that I was of the caliber of student they wished to attract. The mail rejected me in the nicest way possible.

Interview via Skype ASAP. Was sort of under the impression that I was already rejected.

Emailed by POI. Guarantee of 4 years of funding, which will include payment of fees and a modest stipend (around 10K/year).

Letter said a notification from the Graduate School will follow.

Got a really nice e-mail from the grad coordinator of the program saying she had been instructed to inform the Graduate School of my rejection. Went on to say they weren't able to find an advising match for all applicants. Let me down gently : )

Called admissions office and notified of waitlist status.
