If the post below is accurate, that admits are given out and everybody else is waitlisted. Then it is unfortunate. I dont think people should dream. They never come true.

TTPB: MIT is still a week or two away from emailing out decisions. I heard this from POIs who interviewed me.

Has MIT admits been sent? It is pretty sad they let the rejects know in March? So far, I guess all MIT admits have received mails. Any of the posters know until when MIT will send mails to admits, i.e. do they send in batches or they send in one go to all the admits. The process is killing me, have heard from nowhere.

Contacted by a professor in my preferred research area who wanted to learn more about my background.

It was a long shot. Good luck to all!

:'(

Absolute bummer.

2 high profile LORs. Low GPA. Top 10 ranked undergrad school. High general GRE, no subject submitted. 1 publication in engineering lab. Less than a year of chemistry research experience at time of application.

TTPB accepted for CS: could you please tell the initials of your POI and area?

To the CS student who got admitted below, did you get email from the department? Is it official acceptance from MIT website or just email from you POI?

stay calm and move on

Invited to interview via Skype! Over the freakin mooooooon

Received an interview invitation on 31st Jan, for an interview period between 4th Feb and 2nd Mar!

To the poster below, the admits were released on 4th Feb last year.

When does MIT send its admit mails? When did it send last year?
