Freestanding MA. Declined to be on the waitlist since it's already quite late, and will even take extra weeks to decide if I wish to be put on the waitlist.

Before today I asked them my application status. They revealed nothing and said the result would be available "through April", which made me axious. My impression is that they care nothing for their applicants. Very bad experience with Columbia, letting me wonder where comes their reputation.

Bachelor's from Pakistan. 2 research internships (1 in germany and 1 in Pakistan). 1.5 years of research oriented work experience in Machine Learning.

Got the rejection letter on 4/15...I already committed to UIUC and I am not expecting acceptance from them. But I don't understand why it took them so long to make decisions.

Admissions committee is such a group of wankers, deliberately delaying the results ... the excruciatingly long wait has killed all the excitement of previous admit

also have heard nothing from them. I plan on emailing them and trying to get a refund of my application fee because this is ridiculous

I can guess rejection by not having heard any notice from the admission office. As they received that amount of application fee, it is their DUTY to inform about any official decisions they made. They ignored my request about asking current decision making status from Feb., and keep sending me ad about MS program lol. Did I pay application fee for getting ad emails??

Got an e-mail to check the result on the website. I expect that my name maybe on the waitlist so the result just release today.

So it's grad day and it looks like no one's heard anything from Columbia...? Can anyone confirm being accepted or rejected...?

Accepted off the waitlist. Email notification, no information yet on financial aid, etc.

Directly applied by the early deadline. Will be declining. Ended up getting into a PhD program somewhere else so accepted that offer instead!

Received an $8,000 scholarship, however, I will be declining the offer since I've already accepted an offer for a PhD program. Hope that will free up a spot and some financial aid for another student!

...anddd I got my update! Waitlisted, but so grateful not to have been rejected outright. Congrats to everyone who got in, and fingers-crossed I make it off the list (my first choice and dream school)!
