Letter dated 5th April. I emailed a graduate officer directly as I have other applications waiting to be confirmed. On a open day a high member of the department said that I was likely to get a place but the only issue could be my first degree university standing. Ah well, I'm stubborn as heck so I'll be trying again for PHD. To anyone still waiting, I wish you all the best and hope you get your email soon! | ||||

Same here. Yesterday I got the rejection email from Nuffield College. Funding opportunities in other colleges are very scarce and I have received no emails for the Clarendon/ESRC schemes, so I guess my chances of getting university funding are very low. | ||||

Hey, to the Economics poster below: could you please tell me when you received your offer from the Department? I'm trying to gauge how long it'll take for the college to get back to me. Also: unfortunately, I think it does hurt your chances of funding insofar that it indicates you're not an "extremely competitive" applicant. | ||||

Dear fellows. I was wondering if anyone has received information from colleges. I stated Nuffield as my first pref but yesterday I was informed that they were unable to make me an offer and my profile would be considered by others. Would such circumstance impede my ability in obtaining funding from other colleges? Btw, has anyone heard from the Clarendon scholarship committee?
