Received email from INP faculty extending an interview invitation

I was very surprised to hear this early!

To the previous poster who just received interview from Yale's POI: could you please share with us your POI's initials or your area of research? BTW, is there anyone heard from the POIs from cognitive area in Yale? Thanks!

Informal skype with POI. He said that the faculty are meeting in the first week of Jan and sending out invites to interviews in the second.

To poster below: I think most POIs do skype interviews if they want to discuss research overlap, which they use in deciding who to bring to campus. The department isn't meeting until Jan, so POIs might still do interviews in the first two weeks of Jan.

Thank you to the below for answering. Do you know if everyone who’s offered an official interview also has a preliminary Skype interview? Wondering, because at this point I haven’t had one.

To the posters who received invites from Immunology concentration in BBS - any idea if all the invitations have been sent out?

3.93 GPA, GRE 162Q 153V 3.5 AW. No chem GRE. Double major in Chemistry and Statistics and minor in math from a State University. 2 years of undergraduate research including an Honors in the Major Thesis from a well known lab in my field. 2 semesters of TA for the gen chem labs. Totally stoked! This was my first choice!.

Decent GPA, one good LOR, two okay ones, one year of research experience, decent general GRE and chem GRE

I received an email from my POI and had a skype interview. They said official invitations for visit/interview day will come in the first or second week of January.

Hi! Yale's website said interview invites will release by mid-Dec this year but I haven't heard/seen any reports here. Would you mind sharing info if anyone has heard back about interview invites from Psych? Thanks so much!
