Final year student pursuing B.Tech + M.Tech from EE, IIT Bombay. Two first author conf. papers with one at NeurIPS 19. Humbled to receive the accept. No interviews. An email from Head, EECS.

Sorry for the guys who got rejected below, but I'm wondering what did you guys mean by rejected via other? Was it via email or website?

It's almost rejected... I am so sad... There is no hope...

I received the acceptance mail (area: photonics, PI initials not disclosed) around 7pm Eastern Standard Time. In the mail there is a PDF that contains a lot of info about grad life at MIT, but more importantly for the villains who are asking, it says Feb 4th is the date when they send the acceptance mails.

Sooooo glad!! Have been waiting for CMU and MIT this week!!! Had a chat with a Prof not mentioned in my SOP.

I did not receive any mail, so I am pretty sure I am rejected. That is what happens. But do they send the rejection mails along with the acceptance mails? I hear they send rejection mails in March.
