When I was rejected from the PhD program they offered to transfer my application to the Masters. I am considering doing this program to bolster my credentials if I don't get into one of the 2 doctorate programs I am still waiting to hear from

Invitation to interview stated that they are expecting to accept 25-30 students to the program.

Departmental Review -> Graduate Program Review -> Rejected. Was expecting it though. Their website said by first week of March all admits would be given.

Portal was changed to Under Graduate School Review this morning... freaking out and hoping for the best! To those who did not get in to the UMD SLP program - do you mind posting your stats? Thanks so much - I really appreciate it!

Application status changed to "under graduate school review" this morning. Praying that that means good news

I too have not received any update on UMD website. Applied for computer vision on 12 Dec 2016. Wondering what is taking so long? Am I waitlisted or rejected?

To all future applicants, given their extremely small class size, getting into UMD is as hard as UIUC or CMU. Don't apply unless you think you're good enough for the aforementioned schools.

Their standards for PhD and MS are same. To be in this program, you have to have tons of research experience and good LORs. SOP doesn't matter a lot, get published at good conferences and try here. Otherwise don't even try, waste of money. Batch size is pretty small of what I heard not more than 25.
