TTPB: I am the same guy(ai hardware) who had the interview with POI. He sent me a mail saying he has put in the paper work for giving the official offer. He said due to spring break the process is slow. He said he will be giving me GSR( RA) offer. So I am expecting an official offer this by next week.

TTPB (person from AI hardware track who interviewed with PoI on 17th March): Did you hear back from them? I saw a few MS/PhD acceptances and rejections here; could anyone share if all acceptances out?

Admitted with Full Funding. Interviewed with Prof before the application deadline. I was positive from Day 1 on this. Got unofficial acceptance in 1st week of March 2021. Qualifications: B.Tech-India, Master's (Research)- top university in Malaysia. 2 journals, co-authored conference papers. Strong LORs. Suggestion: Write emails to as many professors as you can before the application deadlines. I wrote around 100. Got some positive, some generic responses. But it does make you save a lot on application fees. Applied to 7 schools, received 5 positive offers.

Received an email to check the admissions portal for a status update.

Accepted today.

[ignore interview] TTPB: I have not heard a squeak from columbia, either through my portal or email. Total silence. Pretty sure this means rejection, but I would just like to hear back. I also haven't heard from CMU, USC, and UCSD (despite getting invited to their open house :| ). I assume this means rejection for all of them, but man can't they just let us hear something!

I got rejected, obviously as expected at this point. Honestly, I just want to hear from the rest of my school (idec if they are all rejections) so I can commit already. What really bugs me is that I emailed Caltech around a week prior asking for a status update, and all they said was 'you will hear by April 1st'. Since everyone that heard 3/22 apparently got rejected, it seems pretty clear they knew they wanted to rejected me. I don't know why schools take so much thrill out of being nontransparent and lack all communication with students. Very cruel
