To the poster below who's asking what the interview was like: I asked the admission office in 2019 if the application process would involve an interview, they specifically told me there wouldn't. But I received an email asking for one anyway. 1. The POI first introduced his/her lab and stated why I would be suited for their lab. 2. Asked me to talk about the papers I published and asked some questions on the works. 3. Asked me if I have any general questions regarding the ECE department of BU. It was done in about 30 min.

Invited to the ECE Prospective Student Visit Weekend Low GRE ~55 percentile, relatively modest GPA ~3.8 from a large state school, research experience +4 years during undergrad with 4 summer REUs at top engineering schools and national labs, 2 published papers & 2 conference proceedings as a co-author, good LORs, and coming in with a fully-funded fellowship. Emailed professor early and made a visit recently. Great group, definitely pulled a lot of weight in this early notification. Heavily faculty-driven acceptances

So early ! GTA stipend $ 1980 / month; Full Tuition fee waiver; Funding guaranteed for the first three semesters, during which we have to find an adviser. My Credentials: Undergrad from Lahore University of Management Sciences (Pakistan), 6 months RA ship after graduation (since 2019). 2 papers in the process of publication (i.e. submitted)
