After carefully reviewing your application to the graduate program in chemistry at Stanford University, our Admissions Committee has decided that it cannot grant you admission for autumn quarter of 2021. This decision is a consequence of the restricted size of our entering graduate student class, coupled with the very large number of impressive applications received this year. As a result, many able applicants could not be accepted.

Stanford Slaughter Day! The POIs I was interested in really wanted me but weren't part of the committee. They mentioned the politics behind recruitment, so makes sense!

I applied to the chemistry program at UMass. I saw an acceptance to UMass Chemistry, and was wondering if anybody else got an acceptance for the chemistry department.

Does anyone know if Harvard CCB accepts anyone and maybe their background? Based on the posts they send out very little offer? Just curious.

Organic Chem. I know a international student with 1 co-first JACS (methodology) has been accepted by Res...(female interviewer). I think I have been rejected, a little disappoint.

Did anyone from Organic Chemistry hear back any updates after the interview?

Undergraduate from an institute in Eastern India. NO research experience or any publication whatsoever. But my master's project guide has a really strong connection at Stony Brook. Connections do matter!!! Also applied in the Physics department there. But didn't hear back yet. My first offer. I am really excited. (hep-ex)

Two summer REU's + 1 semester of undergrad research. 3 strong letters of recommendation. Some industry experience. GPA 3.79. GRE (160,148,4.0)(Q,V,AW) Really happy and excited for this one. Good luck everyone!
